Committee Goal 1: List appropriate ESP webinars at Learn.extension.org to make Extension more aware of ESP and the professional development we're providing

  • Emerging technology that can be used in Extension programming
  • Looking at two webinars in 2019

Committee Goal 2: Coordinate national conference facilitation of evaluation, call for proposals, review of proposals, liaison with national chair/committee

Committee Goal 3: Provide articles to National ESP Connections Newsletter throughout the year

Articles will be authored by committee members and sent to the national office on the following schedule and topic:

  • Oct 25 – Review of the Kansas Conference, and focus for 2019 – Mark
  • Dec 25, 2018 (Article on RFP and Nat Conference)
  • Feb 25, 2019 - Whomever received a PD Grant
  • Apr 25, 2019 (Affinity Group(s) update and outreach)
  • June 25,2019 (Conference tracks and Opportunities)
  • Aug 25, 2019 - (Last minute PD at Conference)

Committee Goal 4: Optimize and add value to time at ESP Conference for Affinity groups

Activities should heighten awareness of Inclusion across Extension. Possible activities include:

  • newsletter article(s)
  • webinar?
  • proposal for ESP Conference and at other national meetings
  • track at conference
  • every other month meeting
  • create resources for Latino and Urban Extension on our website

Committee Goal 5: Increase impact of conference by bringing Conference to non-attendees, via technology

Activities and issues to investigate:

  • keynote speakers, broadcast or record where possible
  • possibly stream the National Council Meeting
  • conducting first online auction in lieu of the traditional silent auction
  • revenue generation - pay to watch/attend engagement? Pros/cons

Committee Goal 6: Plan to engage and provide PD for Life Members

  • Develop a survey for life members and create professional development opportunities based on the results.
