Mission of 2003 PILD:

To promote leadership, communication and cooperation among Extension professionals in the area of Public Issues Education.

Objectives:

Conference Highlights:

  1. Gain valuable insight from Washington, DC insiders.
  2. Learn what makes Washington tick...and how to use this new understanding of the "big picture" to improve your Extension programs.
  3. Connect with national leaders and others, and share your local programs and constituent needs with these important decision-makers.
  4. Spend a day "on the Hill", meet with your Congressional delegation and discuss your program's impact on their constituency.
  5. Learn how to effectively work with your county and state decision makers back home.
  6. Make valuable connections with Extension colleagues--field staff to administrators--from across the United States
