Urban Initiative: Creating an Urban Extension Program in Southeast Wisconsin

Participants will:

• gain an understanding and appreciation of the process to develop extension programs for urban communities
• learn about a model developed to strengthen urban university relationships
• learn how to develop a neighborhood approach to programming and deliver programs based on the team concept

UW-Extension spent a year in 1995 researching and developing a model to restructure extension programs in urban communities. Points for discussion will include:
