Description:
Do you ever feel that managing your family and your worklife is a bit like a juggling act? Learn to manage with a family vision and picture the outcomes you want!

Abstract:
Many of today's employees have had a hand in the development of a vision statement for their business, and statistics tell us that companies that are led by visions are 8 times more effective. Families can become more effective with the same tool-a working vision statement for the family.

This session will provide participants with the tools and process to help families with the development of a family vision statement to encourage families to communicate on the expected outcomes of family life. Currently, families are expected to make many choices with an increasing array of possibilities. Individuals want success for their families, but need to recognize that this involves making choices. Making choices can be easier for families once a vision statement is developed.

This program is adapted from some of Steven Covey's work on importance and urgency factors and Joan Kofodimos' work on balancing work and family. This educational session is well accepted in the work environment because of the amount of work time that is lost to caring for family problems. This is currently the most often requested program of this agent.
