The most obvious point is that all individuals interested in becoming a national officer of ESP must be current members of ESP--either Annual or Life Members are eligible for national office. The individual must be a self-starter and exhibit leadership skills as evidenced by having experience within Epsilon Sigma Phi as a chapter officer, service on a committee(s) or served in some other leadership capacity for this organization.

Additionally individuals must be willing toto make the tenure commitments of the position (Second VP starts a 4 years progression and; Regional Vice President for 2 years or until a successor is elected.) Individuals are to have the supportfromthe Director of Extension in the state where the individual holds membership and submit a written statement of support before the nomination deadline.

Chapters are to submit nominations for national officers to the National ESP Executive Director by July 1 for the Second Vice President and January 1 of even years for the four Regional Vice President positions.
